Christopher Buckley told a story on Morning Joe this week: George H.W. Bush went to visit Reagan in the hospital after he was shot by David Hinkley, and he found the bed and the room empty. A voice came from the bathroom, “I’m in here George.” He went to the door and found Reagan on his hands and knees cleaning the floor. Reagan said, “I spilled some water and didn’t want the nurses to have to clean it up.”
